The first 5 digits in the Lot Code on the bag represent the pack date of the product.

Here is how to read it :

 

The first 2 numbers in your first code (23) represent the last 2 digits of the year the product was packed (2023).

 

The next 3 numbers (008) represent the Julian date – the 008th day of 2023 was January 08.

So, the product was packed on January 08th, 2023.

Going out 10-months from the pack date will give you the best before date.
